In January 2021, I decided to start a Slack Channel to create a space to invite members of our community to practice gratitude together.
I never would have imagined that less than a year later, that same space would grow to include over 150 souls and 10,000+ messages.
What began as a gathering place to practice gratitude, has evolved into a thriving community with active channels focusing on everything from “happy first aid” to “solicited advice” to “pets” to “mindfulness” — and more!
Checking in on the Soul Care Hub has become a ritual in my self-care and a precious resource for encouragement and connection with like-minded friends. A safe haven of support from others who share a deep commitment to finding ways to live well through hurt and hardship.
I can’t say enough wonderful things about this space and as part of celebrating the launch of my new website (woo!), I want to open it up for new members.

Social media can be a tricky space with chronic illness and support groups can often swing between toxic positivity and total despair. But this space is a magical corner of the internet where I feel such deep witnessing, friendship and genuine support, holding space for the complexity of the ups and downs of chronic illness. It’s no exaggeration that being here has changed the way I relate to myself and my illness, I notice the moments of compassion I have for myself growing out of learning and sharing here.

This group has given me the space to practice embracing joy and gratitude in my life, and knowing it does not negate any of the pain and suffering I experience. In fact, this is a group of people who intimately know that joy and pain can exist simultaneously, and sharing my stories with people who “get it” has been so healing to me.I know that whatever I post, everyone will respond with empathy when things are shitty, and celebrate my wins not matter how small. I could not imagine a more empathetic and supportive group.

The Slack Soul Hub is exactly what I’ve needed for the past four years. A space where I am deeply understood, supported, loved, and encouraged. It’s so refreshing to journey alongside people whose daily lives look similar to mine & who are similarly committed to mindfulness and compassion. I gush about SoulHub all the time to my parents andpartner and friends. In just 6 months, it’s become an invaluable, beautiful part of my life. I love the people here!! I just love it all.

Once you click the link above, you’ll be prompted to join Slack, an online platform you can access on your phone or computer.
You’ll be automatically added to the “#dailygratitude” channel, and can join any others that look interesting to you! There is no expectation to post daily, and you are welcome to show up exactly as you are, whenever it is supportive to do so.
It’s my deepest hope that as this community continues to grow, so can the amazing connections that have already taken place and bloomed into such beautiful new friendships.
If you have any questions, feel free to drop them below!
As ever, honored to connect with you and so grateful for your support.
I share each step along my road to wellness and healing and hope that in doing so I can inspire you along your own path. Thank you so much for being here.
