Migraine Type I: The Slow Build

Chronic Illness

  1. Catherine says:

I totally relate to this type of migraine! This has been a very common experience for me for years. As hard as this is to live with, I’m also grateful that this is more common for me than the gripping, all consuming painful ones. But the seemingly never-ending nature of it is really tough to deal with. I describe my pain levels as background noise, distracting, painful, and debilitating.

  2. Yvonne says:

Thank you so much for describing EXACTLY how I feel. You do this so well…
"24 hours on an empty gas tank". It’s just that in those days. And the problem is: because often people do see me, they might think I’m ok. Not that I really care.
But thank you for putting it down like this.

  3. Bekah says:

Agh, yes. This is me. I have the slow build most days–and I know that the evenings will only be worse. Waking up is hard because you don’t know if it’s going to be a slow build day or a sudden onset for seemingly no reason. hugs Praying for you!
